Working on ole Blacky

When Jace discovered a stuck lifter in his engine he knew it would have to be repaired or it would ruin the whole engine if he just ignored it. So he consulted with his Dad as to his options and then he decided that he and his Dad would take the engine apart and install a set of new lifters along with a camshaft that would increase his horse power. So we went to work disassembling the engine so we could make our repairs, when we would come to any road block/challenge Jace would get on the Internet and get an answer/photos which helped us tremendously. All was going pretty good until I was trying to break loose an nut from the crankshaft and I busted a rib, ouch, that slowed me down some but Jace just kept on working until he completed our project, and to our amazement the engine started right up, and we were two happy dudes.
Also after Jace returned from his Mission in Mesa, Arizona he decided to lift his 1989 F150 pickup which included removing the whole front end a major task and then creating and fabricating a new front end with a solid axle, this project keep us busy for a couples weeks after we got off work. It was physical and mental work trying to get everything square and aligned. O’ ya did I mention we replaced the transmission at the same time?
Once again we had a great time working together and enjoying each other’s company and we cannot forget the nice meals and treats Mom would bring out to us to keep us going, she was also our cheerleader and helper.
